For the ALBEDO: STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY project, we were shy a few technical illustrations, especially for guns. I'm a big fan of Masamune Shirow and the like, but I'm nowhere near as accomplished an artist.
ALBEDO is a war comic set at an unspecified future date where genetically-engineered animal men fight interstellar wars, mostly on an a policy of invasion and occupation. Infantry and land vehicles are emphasized. I wanted to use modern guns as a model, but also imply that there was some kind of futurist society in mind. Most of these guns were based on 1990 models or later. I'll freely confess to "ricing them up", adding what I think looks more futury even though my ballistics knowledge is enough to know I don't know enough. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
